Calling Trump a Nazi is the same as calling an average Lemmy user a communist. Or calling Kamala a communist.

I know quite a lot about him actually.
What horrible things is he promoting?
LMAO! This is the type of person who would leave Steam if Gabe endorsed Trump.
Imagine switching for based proton just cuz CEO agrees with Trump.
Based!
People have evolved stereotyping and assuming things cause it was beneficial from the evolutionary perspective.
My issue is I only play multiplayer games and most have KLAC.
That’s true. Also look at Marvel Rivals.
Yall can dislike all you want, but we all know a lot of people out there are not fans of DEI ideology. You can say they are wrong, you can say they are immoral, but that doesn’t change the fact people have started to have serious negative feelings towards DEI stuff - and companies are noticing it.
Companies want money, they don’t give a shit about DEI. They only have a shit about it when it was beneficial to them and their pocket. DEI went hard when it used to pump their stock cause ESG and shit - it ain’t like that no more. People are starting to dislike it and it’s only gonna get more intense.
As time goes on DEI will be affecting company earnings negatively more and more - and thus they will stop the DEI stuff. SIMPLE.
It’s true and we all know it. Love or hate DEI - it’s increasingly declining, and the simple reason is - common man ain’t a fan of it.
I always chuckle when I hear/see the B world. lol It vibes like yall are afraid to use other insults so you use the B word for everything. Bitgot this, bitgot that, you are a bigot, they are bigots, everyone who is not left is a bigot. lol
As someone who almost exclusively plays multiplayer games - we are def not there. I agree with you that kernel-level anti-cheat needs to go and games should focus more on AI-based (behavior and pattern analysis) anti-cheats instead. But, it’s simply not fair to to say that “we’re already there” when almost 50% of the largest (most played) games out there don’t work on Linux.
We are not there. Is it Linux’s fault? No. But we are absolutely not there, yet.
I guess they are seeing what is happening to other DEI-heavy games. Pendulum swung too far into one direction and it’s starting to come back.
When most/all multiplayer games start working on Linux that’s when Linux can really start taking off.
I just wish there was a FOSS version of Discord. I haven’t looked too deeply into existing alternatives, but I have a feeling they all miss features Discord has and are just not as good.
In what sense?
Xonotic & Minetest.
huh
