I guess if I had to throw some shade at M$, I really hate how garbage the registry has become. Back in the day it was great for very specific solutions and some personalization, but now I have to crawl through hundreds of drop downs on a fresh install just to fix simple things on Microsoft’s own software.
I constantly reference Job for exactly that logic. Early Christianity saw family as property first.
Why not both?
Job: “Thanks for giving me back everything you took from me in that bet with Satan, but can you please bring my dead family back to life?”

One of the things I warn people about privacy is that it’s not about what they might find, it’s about what they might pretend to find.
Plenty of dirty cops plant evidence. Who’s to say they don’t like someone and keep a flash drive full of Cheese Pizza to plant on their computer. Usually that kind of logic gets people on board more easily.
