Obviously it’s not fair to expect you to put yourself in danger for everyone else, but it might just be worth considering of forms of resistance.
I’m in a hard red state, working for a branch of government that already leans fairly red (DoD). Not even being hard on myself, I am a dime a dozen IT technician that coasted into my current position. Frankly, I think I’ve wanted out for a while now, there’s just nowhere else to work in the area.
