i dont recall commenting if drag was experiencing transphobia or not, only that you shouldnt be the one to decide if drag is.

anybody who wants to use a set of pronouns, no matter what they are, are able to, if you spend your entire life insisting that is how you want to be referred to, then that is in no way trolling, and i dont see that from drag like you are implying. nobody is interested in using force to make you comply with pronouns, you can choose not to, but i think you should just choose not to interact with people you cant have a conversation with without getting in a semantic argument about the english language.

And the choice of it as a pronoun is a hard sell to begin with. Neopronouns are pig dubious value, and a ton of people will point out that it makes it harder for trans people to be taken seriously against an already douche filled world.

What you’re experiencing isn’t transphobia, period. It’s the dissonance of choosing a random word as a pronoun and expecting people to know what you’re saying.

yeah im not saying mozilla will be our savior, and ladybird/servo are promising but nowhere near complete. the biggest difference is that firefox is open source, you can build the browser with none of that stuff in it, and yeah thats not easy for most users, but most users dont care and wont do it anyways. chrome on the other hand, yeah chromium is “open source” but most of the important stuff that chrome based browsers actually use are not open source, and they are more than willing to take features away from users because if they didnt they would lose money, just like how they have done with manifest v3 and adblockers. at the end of they day we dont have a good browser, and thats a shame, because its a really insurmountable task without proper funding.

ahh yes brave, the browser that has built in crypto scams, will add affiliate links so they can make money off your purchases, is built on Chrome so has no pretense of privacy anyways, and was created by a guy who donated to anti lgbtq causes. I’m sure they are the ones who will save us from those evil corps who want our data.

have you tried the flatpak? it should include any dependencys you need. im on arch and it works great from the aur, but i know that does not really help you.

your either targeted by the system, or you benefit from it, my comments about the people who dont understand or care, are in the latter camp, the people who are targets of the system, i would argue, dont care about race, at least not in the way racists do, they care about being oppressed, and racism is the tool that is leveraged to do the oppressing.

at the end of the day, it doesnt matter what avenue of discrimination they use to oppress people, but it is highly valuable to understand their avenues of attack and tactics they use to trick people into believing bigoted rhetoric. thats why im here engaging in this conversation, not trying to deny the reality we live in.
