SteamOS is the arch Linux off shoot they made specifically for the steam deck. It’s great for integrated graphics gaming.

My Spain just gave me an old netbook, you think I could use gnome effectively, or go for something lighter?

Why not use steam or arch if it’s just fucking around? Arch you can at least configure easily.

I just got totk for $20 black Friday a few months ago. I got through the first two or three minor dungeons and it didn’t really grab me. How far do I have to go before it becomes addicting?

I just saw a short of someone running an instance of XP on an esp32 chip. Dunno how well it actually worked cause it was just thirty seconds of an error message repeating. But I would love to play some old games with <1 watt of power.
