But to argue the entire war was preventable by just displacing jewish people is naive and borders on antisemitic.

There might’ve been ways to prevent the war from starting, like not destroying Germany’s economy as a scapegoat for WW1 would have done a lot.

Paid advertisements floating to the top, search engine optimization completely ruining any form of categorization, a deluge of spam websites that pump out irrelevant articles full of keywords (ironically now using GPT to make more articles).

If you want to actually get real people talking you have to append “reddit” to the end. But now Reddit is also becoming shitty for search.

Nowadays people realize if all you get from google search is ai and social media, then why not skip the middle man? Hence people using ai and even Tiktok in place of Google.

I personally use Claude to ask for niche questions and it actually gets to the point answering what I’m asking. (I double check using the terms it gives me to read more on Wikipedia and ect.)

I feel like an average person or group of people are of average intelligence.

But huge masses of people? They begin to adopt emergent traits that cancel out individual intelligence. It’s why foot traffic can be modelled as a liquid. Or why the entire field of economics can exist.

This makes large public masses have predictable behavior that’s exploitable by grifters, demagogues, and propaganda.

I don’t find them funny but more amazed that we’ve distilled the concept into an immortal simple symbol.

There was a weird incident in class where a good amount of my classmates, including some who were POC, believed that black people were biologically more aggressive based on anecdotal experience.

I’m white but I was arguing against this because it made no sense. As a possible explanation I argued that black communities are typically poorer because of history (slavery, segregation, ect) and that poor and desperate communities are whats more likely to be violent.

It seemed to get them to pause for a moment. I’m sure I wasn’t as nuanced as I’d be now but I was a dumb reactionary teenager talking to dumb reactionary teenagers.

I feel like in the future, a highly valued skill for anyone in a public facing role is gonna be learning to get off of Twitter/Microblogs.

How many people have ruined their own reputations by just giving the internet a constant stream of their inane thoughts? Regardless of if they deserve it or not.

The Ukraine-Russia & Israel-Palestine wars, and the likelyhood of China going after Taiwan before 2027, and the Koreas continually being a powder keg influenced by all of this. Between all that and me being 23 years old I sincerely think I might witness World War 3, it’s terrifying, yet it feels inevitable with our era of false 1st world peace built on a house of cards.

That’s not even mentioning the Republican Project 2025, as a trans person I might have to fight for my life.
