The main attractor to me is that with an electric car, you could theoretically be energy independent. Same goes with an ebike.

Eg, Solar -> battery -> EV/ebike

I’ve lived near a school, and you learn to avoid going out during drop off or pickup times. Driving, riding, walking, it doesn’t matter.
