Escapism.
I’m just a weird, furry, pan guy (cis he/him). I also have a big, blue username.
Currently on Earth for 8 years ensuring steps to unite humanity and usher us into the galactic civilization just so I can see my boyfriend again.
Escapism.
Technically I’m pan, but I’m also gay AF.
The only thing that doesn’t make it perfect for me is the fact that so many games running on PC, even if they have a console version, don’t have UI scaling options to make anything readable at TV distance.
BUT there is a big difference this time around, specifically: they’re no longer using their own engine. That does change the equation.
I feel like it would be a negative change though, as they haven’t worked with any other engine since… Forever.
I’m gonna just assume it won’t be any different than the crowd system of Assassin’s Creed; which wasn’t even all that impressive back when that first came out.
They said CP2077 would do things no other game did. That was a lie. They are also claiming a new IP they are working on will do the same. I don’t really trust them when they say they will be doing something that’s never been done before because they can barely make things that have been done to death work properly. And honestly, even the best designers have made that promise and failed to deliver, so whenever I hear the phrase “never seen in a game before” I usually just check out because it’s never been true.
They are amazing at the artistic side of things (the visuals, the audio, the story-telling); but when it comes to the technical side? They are pretty bad.
Wokeness and DEI? At GameStop? I’ve never even seen anyone other than high school aged white dudes working there.
Maybe if they had done that with brand new games and not just a few good but old games and tons of games nobody has even heard of before. It’s not really even in the same league as just genuinely being cheaper than the competition. It’s a gimmick. Steam also sometimes gives games away for free, while still having tons of deep discounts all year long.
I’m the same. I’ll look on Steam first just because I would prefer to keep all my shit in one place, but if it’s not the cheapest price I’ll get it somewhere else. Although 90% of the time, the cheapest price is just a steam key being sold by a 3rd party (I like Eneba, personally).
The one time Epic was cheaper, was when they gave out Civ6 for free. I bought the two major DLC expansions through Epic instead of buying everything on Steam just because I didn’t have to buy the base game and the DLCs were $10 cheaper anyway.
Being consistently cheaper would actually be attractive to many people. The thing is, none of these competitors can even muster that. Steam consistently has better sales, more often. And it’s pretty funny seeing Amazon of all things not able to match or beat that. They are known for undercutting the competition, even at their own expense, just to get customers; It’s literally how they got to be as big as they are.
Turn this crack house into a crack home.
I heard that he wrote that song after visiting an underground mall in Japan. How gnarly was that mall, that it made Jamaroquai write a song about technology being fucked up?
Man fuck that. I wanted to try these specifically because they said they only used agave syrup as a sweetener. Stevia, suclarose and aspartame always have this weird aftertaste and mouth feel.
That title makes it seem like they have made 600 million separate games free and not that they have had 600 million users claiming games they have given away free.
I stayed with XP until 7. I stayed with 7 until 10. I’ll probably stay with 10 until the next Windows. Assuming it actually is decent again, and not just even shittier than 11.
Keep your files in “My Documents” (and any other default media folders like movies and pictures; or on a separate drive) and you won’t lose shit other than installed programs when you re-install Windows.
The whole description of the game when they announced it made it sound like a mod. I was shocked to see it’s an official Fromsoft game. I do not have high hopes for it.
Does it count if they are ads for things in the game I am playing? Cuz that seems to be pretty standard in a lot of MP shooters these days where every time you log in, you’re bombarded with what are basically ads for new skins, events, features, etc.
Really shouldn’t have to tho. It’s always for a video I clicked accidentally or only watched 15 seconds before I was like “nah.” It should weigh things you’ve fully watched way heavier.
Whenever this happens, I simply go into my watch history and delete whatever the fuck it was that turned my entire FP into just that one topic.
I really want to check that out, but it is incompatible with my favorite mod: Save Our Ship 2. I refuse to give up SOS2 just to play with another human.
