Good amount of bug fixes, but still doesn’t fix the difficulty slider. They also claim the update after this one will focus on performance fixes.

Damn they’re actually releasing patches? Color me surprised. I thought they were gonna completely follow Bethesda’s example and not do anything after the release /j

Hopefully none of the cool glitches like duping have been patched out.

Patch notes show that everything they fixed were crashes, freezes, and items or NPCs not spawning. They originally said that they would keep a lot of exploits and jank as it’s part of Oblivion’s charm, and it looks like they are staying true to that

Doesn’t say in the notes. Just went through to double-check, but there are some nice fixes in there for crashes and NPCs being broken.

Yes, but not the scroll one. This time you have to do some timing trickery with switching menus in order to dupe.

But yes you can still dupe and other glitches still work (except Dorian).

The scroll duping was patched but there’s a similar one you can do with dropping item stacks into an empty container. Holding shift and dragging a multi-stack over to the container, clicking another item to dupe.

Why are they so excruciatingly slow to release patches? This patch doesn’t even cover game-breaking issues, such as the bow’s paralysis perk crashing the game if you trigger the perk twice in a row. There’s a workaround where you edit .ini files to set the chance of paralysis to 0%, but most people aren’t gonna do that.

I got 100% of the cheevos and logged 110 hours in doing so. The game crashed for me literally hundreds of times (maybe close to 1,000), and I submitted the bug reports for every one of them. I had to quicksave every minute, to avoid losing too much progress. It’s the most unstable piece of software I’ve ever used, game or otherwise.

The game itself is great, but fuck me… almost 2 months later and they patched maybe 0.2% of the crashes and bugs every player is encountering 😒

I’m with you… I told my friends to hold off for a few months so they can fix the issues. I’m baffled they still haven’t gotten to changing difficulty scaling considering it’s just changing a variable, something modders did on day 1. Hopefully the next patch isnt so far away.

I got 60 hours into Oblivion Remastered before doing a hard pivot and reinstalling Skyrim and a ton of mods.

I got about 40 hours into that, before Tainted Grail had its 1.0 release, and then I bought a couple other games on cheap sale…

      It’s a vicious cycle.
